About Our School
In the fall of 1998, Grayhawk Elementary School opened its doors to serve the families of PVSchools most northern boundaries. The school offers Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade classes. The school community is committed to building a supportive environment where individuals care for and encourage each other to succeed.
Grayhawk Elementary School has been recognized as an A+ School of Excellence by the Arizona Educational Foundation. This award is presented to outstanding schools in Arizona to identify and give public recognition. Additionally, Grayhawk has earned the honor of being a Core Knowledge School of Distinction. Moreover, the National Center for Educational Achievement and the Arizona Business and Education Coalition have named the school to the Higher Performing School List in All Subjects.
The school individualizes instruction for each student by utilizing flexible groups, multiple intelligences, tiered lessons, curriculum compacting, project-based learning, and individualized learning plans. The unique offerings include cluster grouping, honors pullout in reading and math, and Special Area classes in Visual Arts, Physical Education, Vocal Music, and Technology/STEM. The school also offers Band, Strings, and Chorus and a comprehensive enrichment program after school.
Grayhawk Elementary School welcomes parents as active participants in their child's education. To volunteer, kindly complete and submit a current volunteer application, which you can obtain from the front office. The school's success is attributed to the ability to work collaboratively as a team, which includes staff, students, and parents.
